Want to get involved or stay current on key email updates? We will update supporters 1-2x a month. Fill out our Google Form, and we will add you to our email list.

Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers are the backbone of our group. Elworthy Field has always relied on volunteers with a strong sense of civic pride. We are creating various opportunities for volunteers to enhance the park. We aim to build relationships with our supporters by offering opportunities for volunteers to work directly to improve Elworthy with our volunteers (in the same place, at the same time). Examples include:

• Joining a spring clean-up work day to improve the park’s appearance/amenities.
• Conducting a visual inspection of the park to find and report issues to the City of GP.
• Attending a City Council, School Board, or committee meeting to advocate for Elworthy.

Also, there are other ways to help the cause by donating your time to research, advocating or organizing something:

• Researching Grosse Pointe history to create content for marketing and educational purposes (we plan to install an outdoor sign at Elworthy that celebrates its history).
• Connecting or introducing the Organizers with a friend or acquaintance who could help improve Elworthy Field.
• Helping to write a monthly newsletter.
